My favourite Australian TV show is one called "Insight", it's made up of a small panel of guests plus the audience. There's a great host and she involves everyone in the show. Each time, they have a subject and it's basically hashed out with her moderating/encouraging/etc conversation.
Here's a good recent one on racism, followed by the link where you can see ones about fear of Islam, arranged marriages, Iran, Pakistan, etc.

"I'm not Racist, but...": http://www.sbs.com.au/insight/episode/watchonline/459/I-m-Not-Racist-But...

Sometimes the show frustrates me because the moderator does allow everyone to have their say and sometimes you don't want to hear certain things. But what can you do :)

assalamu alaikum,
i love insight i used to watch it when i rememberd it was on while i was in aus, i love how it discusses topics that people are generally wary or afraid of, and then gives them understanding and teaches them...it brings us all together in a way :)

p.s thanks for posting the link ive missed watching it :)

Yeah Insight is good! Jenny Brock is such a good moderator aye. The only thing that i don't like sometimes is that she gives those audience members who are in higher positions more time to talk. They always get time to talk elsewhere so i'd rather hear real peoples' opinions. But otherwise it's so interesting
